I'm 38 and have taken 3 mg Melatonin at night for three years now.
I'm not sure but the only effects I have seen are :
- Very few dreams.
- Sleep 8 hours well.
Now I have stopped taking it to see if I'll note some effect.

3 mg is way too much if you want to dream.

and still a good night sleep....
I guess you will also experience a rebound effect if you stop
using it.
