If i can throw two cents worth of brain of brain physiology into this, the forebrain
is where our higher intellectual functions, i.ie. thought without judgement or
emotion, seem to center.as compared to the back brain and amydglia where primitive
responses reside. Anything that moves blood to or warms the forebrain enhances
learning.
Placing your hand on the forehead or better yet one hand behind the head and the
other one the forehead for a three minute period can shift you thinking patterns,
reduce anxiety, etc.
Our bodies have always known this. The classic pose of the thinker is the hand on
the forehead.Walk through any university library or location where people are in
deep thought or concentration and notice the number studying with the head suported
by the hand at the forehead.
The pineal responds more to light and magnetism. At night it puts out melatonin,
a immune system hormone, but production of melatonin is interrrupted by light and
EMR.
Don't sleep with the light on and move all plug in electical devices three feet from
the head.
11/2 cents worth.
