Marvin is the guy I was talking about!! Last I heard he moved from
Dallas. Nice guy too.

He had an interesting theory about brain capacity. He basically ran a
service where they take EEGs for patients of doctors, then interpret
them in written form for the doctors, who in turn relate it to the
patient so they can charge up the wazoo as if they know what the heck
they are talking about.

Now normally, the idea is that we only use from 5-8% of our brain,
with the rest of it being used for autonomous functions and
'unspecified' tasks. I have a friend who reported he had a friend
(don't you love that!) who had developed a muscle machine for your
mind, allowing you to squeeze consciousness into the unused areas and
awakening all kinds of 'atrophied' powers and abilities...the file is
located at;

Marvin said, based on his experience, he is of the opinion that
everyone is incorrect in this idea and that we truly USE 93% or so of
our brain, with the other 7% or so being unused by conscious
perceptions.

We had some great discussions about it and he makes a good point, but
mine is better...<g>... because I think you can force or evoke an
expansion of consciousness as you can see in this general thread, and
we have't even touched on hallucinogens (I hope we don't) which seem
to induce linkages with other realities or at least mental delusions
of such...now pull some useful information from those linkages and it
might be worth looking into...<g>..

At any rate, Marvin had the Potentializer, a Hemisync and several
other mind altering devices which I really liked because there were no
drugs involved, just energy stimulation...he had one that was a
vibrating waterbed under a pyramid...I tried it but it didn't have the
same 'feel' as the cheap hotel beds...it was relaxing but nowhere near
a BETAR experience.

There is also a device sold down in Florida, called a Cotyledon (the
central part of a flower)...which is basically a geodesic sphere
similar to the BETAR which has many amazing claims also associated
with it...now I've not tried it, but met an associate of the inventor
who said it was an incredible experience.

Anyway, I didn't mention Marvins' name as it was 'inappropriate' but
since he has files and addresses posted, he's fair game..
