Thanks for the additional insights into the Graham Potentializer, I knew
there were some other claims but the only motions I saw was the slow
rotation and yes, I think it was CCW as seen from looking from your feet
towards your head. The bed also was suspended on pivots so it did rock
kind of like a ferris wheel, but not really enough to roll you off..<g>.
One other item everyone might find of interest..years ago, I found an
article about an engineer in LA who wanted to 'astrally project'. He
tried the Suzy Smith Astral Projection book techniques and a few others,
always with no success. So he got to thinking about it and tried the
following;
1) sitting under an open copper wire pyramid while trying to project.
his thinking was that the pyramid, claimed to be a microwave
resonator would act to intensify his will for projection and
'help him to get out' - it didn't work
2) now he began thinking about how active the brain is, so he
figured there should be a way to 'quench' or somehow suppress
thought, one common way to calm the mind yet retain lucidity is
to imagine a blackboard with nothing on it, then you exert
controlled imagery onto the blackboard, too difficult so this guy
made two coils that were intended to hang over each side of
the brain, he knew the brain was bipolar so he had current moving
in opposite directions through the two coils, now this was a
long time ago, so I don't remember exactly (have to look that
up and post it), but it was either 20 Watts or 20 amps at 12vdc
which would be about 240 Watts, might have even been 20vdc at
2 amps...sorry, but its been about 12 years ago, the idea was
to create a dense DC field that would suppress excitation in
the form of mental spikes as in EEG signals...this did not work
either - this made it easier to think but no projection.
3) he then put this coil arrangement in the pyramid and tried it,
though in both cases with the coil, he was able to concentrate
better, he still could not project, though a few of his more
psychic friends claimed they could easily project while sitting
under this pyramid coil arrangement so the engineer was quite
perturbed because it didn't work for him.
4) the next step was to put the whole thing in an orgone box, like
a cabinet that you sit in...nope, it didn't work for the
engineer either and was too uncomfortable to stay in for very
long, his friends didn't like it either, so he took it down.
5) he did more study and found out about the Schumann resonances
which most people think only occurs at either 7.8 or 8 cps, when
in fact they easily span up to 50 cps, with peaks at several
frequencies in that range, though the 7.8 is supposed to be the
earth's ionospheric cavity, so he figures he should modulate the
DC field at different frequencies to see what would happen, sure
enough he found a couple of frequencies which I don't recall
seeing in the paper I read; that popped him right out of his
grasping corporeality, almost every time he used it, i.e. he
successfully projected as forced by the machine.
Now everything was going along fine and he got to experimenting with
various frequencies to see how he reacted. He said he wrote down the
frequencies in a book along with what sensations he experienced. His
frequency generator had a X1, a X10 and a X100 multiplier, so that you
set the frequency you want and simply multiply to the desired frequency.
One day he sat under the machine and switched it on to something like
430 cps that would be magnetically sent into his brain. Don't quote me
on that frequency as I don't recall it precisely but I will post the
document when I find it again now that I know OTHERS are interested in
forcing such things...<g>...
I've always thought I'd rather learn alpha in 2 weeks using biofeedback
than 20 years under a guru....learn what it feels like to go there, what
it feels like when you get there, what it feels like to get back...do
this a few times with the machine as the auto-guide and boom, you've got
it and can throw the machine away.....
Anyway, here is this guy stimulating his brain with 430 or so
cps...within a couple of minutes he finds it hard to breathe and his
heart is pounding so hard it seems to want to jump out of his chest...he
thinks he is having a heart attack and jumps from beneath the machine,
leaving it running...he gets in his car and manages to make it to the
emergency room of the hospital...turns out a nurse friend of his is on
duty in the ER and he explains what happened and that he is in fear of
dying...
His friend warns him NOT TO TELL THE DOCTORS how he got this way...but
admits him as a rush case....a sonogram and Xrays show his heart and the
surrounding tissue is bruised very badly as if someone had taken his
heart out, beat the heck out of it, then stuck it back in.
The doctors don't understand how this could happen and after a day or
two of observation, they let him go home. He heals up Ok and being
incurably curious returns to his machine, realizing that he had NO heart
condition or symptoms until he sat under that damned coil...
He happens to look down at the frequency generator and notices that
instead of having it set on 4.3 X 100 = 430 cps, he has it set on 4.3 X
1 = 4.3 cps which turns out to be what is claimed as a heart chakra
frequency....again, THIS ISN'T THE FREQUENCY, just an example as I don't
recall what it actually was.
So, just another story that is so reminscent of the experiments of
Michael Persinger with magnetic signatures projected into the brain to
produce specific feelings and effects...they are very weak also and are
about the power of a hammer on a dot matric printer...what I like about
Persingers, he uses a football helmet with nails wrapped with wire and
all pointing towards the brain...you put the thing on and a computer can
project many different patterns, either sustained, swept or varying
while he asks them to describe what they are seeing or feeling...eyes
covered with ping pong ball halves to allow full concentration -
wouldn't this be cool in a deprivation chamber where senses are
magnified???
Anyway, I'm not recommending any of this, if you experiment, its on your
own, just don't get crazy and use really high power drivers, just like
with RIFE or any other biological influencing technology, better to try
with low power, short duration, then wait a few days for effects, than
high power, long duration and make yourself sick or dead....let us all
know if you experiment with it and are still sane...<g>..
