Hi Folks!

Most of you probably know how to do searches on the web but in case you
don't, long ago I made a page of various search engines at;

http://www.keelynet.com/search.htm

and you can select any of them, I prefer Alta Vista to hunt down files
or material. Possibly one or two might no longer work and I'll get it
fixed probably adding metacrawler or something like it.

Many of the old BBS files are posted at one or more of the three
archives, so if you type in the name and extension, it will locate the
file for you...try flan1.asc or something like it...

Something else of use, try the compilation of newsgroup comments that
you can search at;

http://www.dejanews.com/

The dejanews lets you see hot talk that is going on and it will search
by whatever phrase you type in, thats where I first saw the conspiracy
thread about Stan Meyer being poisoned....but there is sometimes useful
information and tons of it, just in how you word your search
parameters...

If you get on the right newsgroups (by the way you can post responses
directly on dejanews to any newsgroup and ask the respondent to reply to
you directly and/or with the newsgroup...this way if you are hunting for
something and not afraid of flames, you might get some help...take
advantage of all those eyes out there...many actually want to help, its
just getting their attention...
