Hi all,

Starting in 1996 I was the webmaster for a large Coldwell Banker office,
located in Florida. I registered a domain name in October 1996, and had
hosted at the same provider as my site, darknet.net. When they moved
their site to the main coldwell banker site, I still had the domain,
and was paying for it each month.. I had the tech guy at my provider
set something up so they weren't hosting it anymore, therefore I wasn't
paying for it anymore, but the domain was still there. That's what
I was told is "putting the domain on hold".. the domain is there, but
there's no server for it. As for the cause being non-payment or a
name dispute, I have no knowledge of whether those would cause the name
to go on hold, but it's likely..
