With regard to Charles Wilde's excellent experimental report, here is a
comment from an electrical engineer that you might find of interest;
Gee. Lab error. Whoodathunkit?
A larger resonant circuit can easily have several kilowatts of energy
running around inside it. The deflection on your color tv is a good
example.
Just like a piggy bank, the energy got there a nickel at a time. Also
like the bank, you can empty that particular set of nickels only once.
This appeared to be a profound and fundamental Tesla error. It was not
obvious to me that he always was able to draw the distinction between
resonant energy buildup and actual energy sourcing.
