Jay

Congratulations on you experimental design. It is wonderful to see someone doing
something.

A couple of specific suggestions.
1- In the environment you anticipate inside the test tubes bacteria and fungi will have a
field day. I suggest you surface stiralize the seeds and maintian strile techniqu as you
set up the experiment. Grocery store clorox or the equalivent should do the trick. I
would dilute it 5 or 10 to 1 for starters and leave the seeds in for several minutes. The
test tubes, cotton, stopers, and water inside them can be strilazed in a presure cooker
at home.

2- As you work up the results the variation between samples in each lot will probably be
rather large. Each plant is an individual and there will be divverences. Averaging them
together will probably give you a clearer picture of the differences.

Hope this will help,

Hnery Curtis
