An interesting and thought provoking post. Some musings here. As is a
natural evolution in most trends of thought concerning certain controversial
topics, sometimes the pendulum swings from idolation and admiration towards
scathing criticism. So it seems to be with Tesla as well. Was he a swindler,
a con-man, a hoaxer? Not in my opnion.
Was he then in league with those ever present - but seldom identified -
secret societies? No, he wasn't, at least in my opinion. The occult
underground did have its interest in him and his inventions, though. Frankly
speaking, I get fairly tired of `secret society' rants (I am not saying nor
implying that you rant here!:-), because those who do so seldom, if ever,
hold their breath to do some actual historical research and see if their
claims hold any water.
Yes there are secret societies. In fact, there are many. They are as old as
the world. Yes, sometimes they even mingle with the free energy underground
(see my book Free Energy Pioneer: John Worrell Keely). But, as they say,
truth is much, much stranger than fiction - or any horrible
what-might-have-been-scenario, feverishly concocted out of lack of
knowledge.
Kind regards,
