Rue (Ruta graveolens) is a European woody herb of bitter taste used
as an antispasmodic and emetic. Then there's Syrian Rue (Peganum
harmula), seeds of which can be used as a source of harmine and
harmaline alkaloids for a MAO inhibitor.
