Anyway, if you exist, be sure to grab the latest issue of "Fusion"
magazine. Fusion is a bi-monthly French magazine dealing occasionnally with
alternative science. I don't read it regularly, but I jumped when I saw the
issue today at a railway station newsstand. It's dated may-june 98 so act
quickly ! It has a 23 pages cover article on Alexander Gurwitch (sometimes
spelled Gurvitsch), written by one of his last remaining living disciples,
Michael Lipkind, an old Russian biologist now emigrated to Israel. Gurwitch
did wonderful research on "biological fields" and "mitogenetic rays" in the
30's. He's often branded by skeptics as a classical example of "pathological
science", but in truth that man was a real genius ! I've been aware of his
work thanks to Christopher Bird's books, and more recently Fritz-Albert
Popp, the German biophysicist who re-discovered Gurwtich's findings with his
startling studies of "bio-photons". Details about Gurwitch are very hard to
come by nowadays, so this article is a gem !
