A gyroscope is a spinning mass which creates tangential force
from it axis - thus creating stability, the faster it spins the more
force. The eather is also spinning as it has mass. Take a look
at what an electric paint stirrer does as it spins in the eather (paint).
It creates a vortex in the eather, the faster it spins the higher
the vortex. Can this vortex lift objects? Or make them heavier?
What about humidity in the air - will this also make a difference
as the eather will have more viscosity?
Here's another theory. The disk has to be metal with good
conductivity. A centripetal force from the spinnin mass sends
electrons flying out towards the peripheral with a velocity 'V'.
Now we can apply the equation Lorentz equation F=qVxB
where 'x' is the cross product. This tells us that a B-Field will
be created normal to the disk, and depending on the direction
of V, it could be in either direction normal to the disk. Now if
our earth generates a 500mg magnetic field and this disk
is parallel to earths field - it will either be attracted or repelled
at bit - maybe not even measureable?
