It is said that when you take two bismith rods and one copper rod and
arrange them like so...

....and you connect up a power sourse (+ve to one piece of Bismith, the -ve
on the other) you will get a great deal of heat form at one of the Cu+Bi
joins and freezing cold at the other join.
I cannot remember what this effect is called.
Anyway, is it possible that this could work in reverse, ie heat applied at
one join and cold at the other to give a small voltage?
