This device has been out for what.. 4 + yrs? I remember seeing it in
Hechingers (hardware store) advertised that NASA developed it! It
has a microprocessor that measures the back emf and reduces
(by triac chopping) the voltage/current that the motor does not need
in order to "power" whatever equipment it is hooked into... such as
a compressor, washing machine, etc. Nothing 'new' that Dennis
has come up with... It was advertised, as I remember, to save energy
as much as 38% or so....
