steve they are considered to be spheres but i doubt anyone knows they're
actual shape. they are so small that measuring them is done with photons
(quanta) and then you get into heinsbergs uncertainity principle where you
can't measure all the attributes i myself belive neutrons don't exist they
were made up with no expiermental proof to substatiant the atom theory. one
guy said "hey how come if like charges repel why don't the protons in the
nucleus fly apart?" the "answer" was that there was another stronger force
than the electro-magnetic called the strong nuclear which was the neutrons and
gluons that held the nucleus together. basicly they made up a force to explain
the flaw they should call neutrons "evil spirits" because they're explanation
is about as good as the neutron theory.this was later in corporated to explain
nuclear reactions like the bomb and breeder reactor but for all we know
they're evil spirits.most atomic theory is just made up
