Hi Feberrus,

As part of a co-op program through my school, I got to work at a nuclear
generating
station for about 10 months, during which time I learned a lot about nuclear
theory
as well as network and systems, which is what I was there for. Anyway, in Canada,
we
use CANDU (Canadian Deuterium Uranium) Reactors, which work by a "neutron"
being fired into the reactor, where it passes through a moderator, d2o, which
slows
it down enough for it to split uranium atoms, inside fuel bundles, producing heat.
My
question to you is, what keeps the chain reaction going if there are no neutrons?
(also
how did it get started in the first place?)

Jerry: Didn't Keely write some stuff about subatomic particles, which I think he
saw as discs? (or am I thinking of someone else?)
