Hello Jerry! I take the cardboard tube out of a aluminum foil roll, or any
other sturdy
roll you can find. Then I mark the tube with a line down one side of the
tube. Then turn
it 180 degrees and mark a line on this side. I spice 2 copper stranded
insulated #20
gauge wires together. Just twist the wires together, its not a permanet
splice. Put the
splice on the mark on one side and hold it with one finger, then start
winding crossing
on each line with the other hand. Make sure were the wire cross's is right
one each
line from one side to the other. When you get through winding, carefully
tape each end
good while you are holding the windings tight. Another set of hands wouldnt
hurt here
either. Then undo your splice and start experimenting. Let us know how you
come out!
It hard to explain without showing you, but maybe this will help. Robert
Calloway.
