As I understand this field of 'Hydrosonics', vortex and shearing effects
are the keys to operation. One version uses two counter rotating drums,
one within the other, separated by about 1/4"....water is pumped between
this space and is heated by the shearing effect. The amount of energy
needed to drive the drums appears to be less than the amount of heat
energy extracted.
