Hi Mathias!

As to building the Mind Mirror...hmm, I think the machine costs about
$3,000....it was very expensive and used a headband with temporal
electrodes to pick up the signal...Peter Kelly showed me his version in
his lab that he developed on a computer...he had me sit there and look at
the screen...on either side of the keyboard were two aluminum plates
connected by one wire to the back of the computer...as I sat there, this
mind mirror thing was picking up my EEG signals, totally without
contact...Peter said walk to the back wall...I walked about 20 feet from
the machine and the damn thing STILL was showing my EEG amplitudes using
the Mind Mirror display method...quite amazing....I asked him if he
planned to sell this, he could make a lot of people happy and make some
bucks.....he said it was still under development and that was about 9
years ago...I'll ask him if he wants to sell them...I volunteer!!!

These could emulate the Mind Mirror and be much cheaper and easier to
hook up....

The LEDs are setup as horizontal rows, reading from the center of the
screen outward...so you have a stack of rows for the left hemisphere and
a stack for the right....each horizontal, moving from the bottom of the
screen to the top, is in 2HZ increments and I think there were about 20
rows...it's been a long time...so I'm probably off on this description..

However, I think it has distinct possibilites, not only for biofeedback
training to learn to produce a specific mental state but a way you could
force it to do the same thing.....
