Hi All,
There is something similar in Northern Lower Michigan, called Ludington
pumped storage, just outside of Ludington, Michigan on the shore of Lake
Michigan.
The idea is to use the generators to pump water from the lake during
off-peak hours and fill a HUGE reservoir (man made and at a level higher
than the lake), then drain the water back through the generators during
peak hours. Effeciency ?, but it's the only one of it's kind in the state.
Makes you wonder why there aren't more of this type built around the country.
Just wondering
Jim
