Hello Jerry and all,
years ago I witnessed the presentation (on T.V.) of Prof. Laithwaite
lifting a very heavy spinning weight effortlessly above his head with a
couple of fingers. I tried this myself and was (still am) startled to find
that a mass can be easily lifted using this technique. In regard to Prof.
Laithwaite's demonstration with a set of scales, I have a question. Where
did the weight of the spinning mass go as it was lifted with ease?
