I am 31 years old. I have recieved the flu shot every year since I joined the
military 10 years ago with no problems. I have recieved the typhoid vaccine
twice with no problem. Apparently when I recieved the yellow fever shot 10
years ago, I had an allergic reaction to it. The reaction included that my
throat was swelling shut and my breathing was labored. I do have the same
type of allergic reaction when I eat turkey or chicken. Now that I am due
recieve my 10 year booster of the yellow fever vaccine, the military doctors
are telling me I can not recieve it because of another potential reaction.
Can anyone share information with me on why I can recieve the flu shot and
typhoid shot with little side affects, but yet with the yellow fever shot
there seems to be a problem. Thank You!
