My child has a permanent severe brain injury from her MMR vaccine. I cannot
believe how disrespectful most of your comments are. I am appalled that
Leigh Hopper has the nerve to call parents that take the time to research
and make educated informed decisions regarding their childrens welfare "the
anti vaccine crowd" and state that we all have "a one size fits all" idea
regarding vaccinations. I hope that none of you ever have to go through what
my family and my daughter have gone through. The MMR vaccine took my
daughters chance at a normal life away. She struggles every day and it is
heartbreaking to watch a once vibrant, outgoing child who was reaching
developmental milestones ahead of schedule, reduced to someone that
struggles to move and talk. Most of the literature that parents are required
to sign at the peditricians office speak about fevers, and pain at the
insertion site, they dont discuss the real and life changing effects that
can occur from vaccinations. People like Leigh Hopper are a discrace to
journalism. She should keep her negative comments to herself.
