Vaccine bird virus
contamination
[back] vaccine contamination
"Because eggs are currently used for the manufacture of several vaccines other than influenza--measles, munps, and yellow fever--and will most likely be used for the production of the new H5N1 vaccine, the potential for continued contamination is real. The eggs are tested for a list of viruses and bacteria--usually between 25 and 37 to confirm the absence of "specific pathogens" on the list. Given the hundreds of known viruses and bacteria...this list is dangerously short....One virus...is called endogenous avian leucosis virus, or ALV. Nearly 45 years ago it was found that apparently healthy hens could transmit ALV to their eggs and then to vaccines....ALV is considered a 'parent' virus because it can easily transform into other types of viruses. Viruses that form from the 'parent' ALV virus include a long list from the potent Rous sarcoma family of viruses....Sarcoma viruses have been shown to cause cancer....Another virus discovered in 1985 is called endogenous avian retrovirus or EAV--a known contaminant of influenza vaccines."-- Sherri Tenpenny (VRAN Newsletter Fall 2006)
"In the Rimavex measles vaccine, we found various chicken viruses. In polio vaccine, we found acanthamoeba, which is a so-called "brain-eating" amoeba. Simian cytomegalovirus in polio vaccine. Simian foamy virus in the rotavirus vaccine. Bird-cancer viruses in the MMR vaccine. Various micro-organisms in the anthrax vaccine. I've found potentially dangerous enzyme inhibitors in several vaccines. Duck, dog, and rabbit viruses in the rubella vaccine. Avian leucosis virus in the flu vaccine. Pestivirus in the MMR vaccine......And if you try to calculate what damage these contaminants can cause, well, we don't really know, because no testing has been done, or very little testing. It's a game of roulette. You take your chances........And I'm just mentioning some of the biological contaminants. Who knows how many others there are? Others we don't find because we don't think to look for them. If tissue from, say, a bird is used to make a vaccine, how many possible germs can be in that tissue? We have no idea.We have no idea what they might be, or what effects they could have on humans."----Jon Rappoport interview of ex vaccine researcher (2001)
"In an effort to quell concerns about the safety of vaccines, scientists are finally taking another look at the "non-infectious" particles of bird-cancer viruses (avian leukosis virus) in the mumps/measles/rubella vaccines routinely given to kids. Could this be the reason the FDA held a meeting in September, 1999, to reconsider using human tumor cell lines (like HeLa) rather than monkey kidneys and chicken embryos which are no longer guaranteed 100% safe? ... The big question everyone seems to avoid is: Can vaccines cause cancer? There is certainly evidence connecting contaminated vaccines to AIDS. And HIV is a cancer-causing virus. Robert Gallo, the co-discoverer of HIV in 1984, has clearly stated AIDS is an epidemic of cancer. Animal and avian viruses can contaminate vaccines and have all been studied as cancer-causing agents. And cancer and vaccine research would be much more difficult without the use of cell lines, some of which are derived from cancer."--Dr Cantwell
