"All of the experts, all of the doctors, all of the

It's even better if you can put your message in the mouth of someone the public trusts. This is called the "third-party technique" and was also pioneered by Bernays. Surveys show that scientists are widely trusted, so the public-relations industry hires "scientific experts" to say things beneficial to the industry's clients. PR firms also deliver messages through journalists, doctors, and others who appear to be independent, trustworthy sources of information. For example, the public is naturally suspicious when pesticide companies claim their poisonous products are safe. But if former surgeon general C. Everett Koop, one of the nation's most trusted public figures, says pesticides are safe, we're more likely to believe the message. After all, Koop warned us about AIDS and tobacco, so wouldn't he be up- front about pesticides, too? Sadly, no. PR strategists scored a major victory in 1990 when Koop spoke out against Big Green, a referendum that would have regulated or banned many pesticides. His opposition was considered an important factor in the referendum's defeat. WAR ON TRUTH The Secret Battle for the American Mind An Interview with John Stauber

"If we don't take great care, SARS could become established in the poorest nations - places like Burundi, Nigera or Malawi - which have neither the high-tech capability of Toronto nor the totalitarian muscle of China to contain it. If that happens, the consequencies for global control could be grave." Dr Patrick Dixon - interview on CNN Europe 29 April 2003
"HIV specialist Patrick Dixon accused the Government of a "chronic lack of action" in tackling the disease...This is a disease that spreads easily and quickly, and most difficult of all, we do not understand fully how it works. People thought Aids spread quickly. Let me assure you, that will be nothing compared with Sars."--Sunday Express April 27, 2003
Meanwhile, Professor Hugh Pennington, an expert microbiologist at Aberdeen University, warned that at least one Sars outbreak within the UK was highly likely. Britain had escaped relatively unscathed, with only six, non-fatal, cases reported so far. A suspected seventh case was given the all-clear yesterday in Sheffield. But Prof Pennington predicted that an infected traveller would land in the UK, undetected, and spread the disease within their family or workplace. Emergency disease control plans would then swing into action, with at least one hospital in the infected city dedicated to Sars.[Media April 2003] Virus deadlier than predicted, expert warns
Quotes on experts
Once again, the M.D./Ph.D. "experts" stand on the backs of little children
to fan public fear of the flu and hype forced child use of flu vaccine.....Now,
self-anointed "experts" are determined to prevent or severely limit
human experience with the flu throughout childhood in order to create a
stable market for drug companies selling flu vaccine.
.....Long after the "experts" pretending to be infallible have died, the
people will be paying the price for having allowed
themselves to be experimented upon

You will hear statements by supposed experts - always the same few, in the pay of the telecommunications industry - to the effect that cell phones/cell towers/microwave radiation have been proven safe in countless studies. It is an easy lie, one that the news media have been eager to propagate. Such studies don't exist. Quite the contrary: it has been shown that, just as for X-rays, there is no safe level of exposure to microwave radiation, and it is so easy to demonstrate harmful effects that it takes some skill to design experiments that don't show them. [1997] Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) Killing Fields --ARTHUR FIRSTENBERG
One of Elissa’s favorite propaganda techniques to watch for is when some reasonably positive story is reported about some natural substance or treatment. There always has to be a qualifier in the story to suggest this great news might not be true, and some MD who knows nothing is usually interviewed (as the "medical expert”) so he can warn people to be cautious. Death by Propaganda
“[T]here’s fame, fortune, and big budgets in sounding the ‘emerging infection’ alarm and warning of our terrible folly in being unprepared.”-------Michael Fumento, National Post, March 28, 2003
"In the reports I read, the "experts" blamed the erratic behavior on a viral disease called scrapie. However, when rape oil was removed from animal feed, "scrapie" disappeared. No longer a European livestock problem; now it is ours. U.S. farmers grow rape seed, and manufacturers use its oil (canola) in thousands of processed foods, with the blessings of government watchdog agencies, of course."--John Thomas
I'M APPALLED by the unfounded assumptions of 'experts' about the
hyper-infectious nature of the BSE/CJD agent (Mail). Basic evidence suggests
variant CJD didn't arise from eating BSE-affected cattle. Third World
countries imported even greater quantities of the incriminated British meat than
we consumed here, but no cases of vCJD have occurred in those countries. I've
travelled worldwide carrying out analyses of areas with prion diseases, of which
vCJD is one. These diseases increase only in areas with a high manganese/low
copper imbalance. Experiments at
Cambridge and Case Western, Cleveland, universities confirmed my findings that
misshapen prions develop whenever brain cells are exposed to this imbalance.
I found one organophosphate
— poured on cows to counteract warble fly and on humans for headlice — which
bonded with copper in the brain, starving the prion protein of its copper
partner. When this happens, foreign metals, such as manganese, are more likely
to bond with prions, which can have devastating consequences. Manganese is
increasing in the environment due to its use as a fertiliser and fungicide, a
lead substitute in petrol, and emission from factories. It was fed to UK cattle
in calf milk replacement powder (at levels up to 1,000 times higher than in
normal cow's milk) and as supplements for bone growth. Manganese is also fed to
humans (in health food supplements), deer (for antler growth) and cats —and all
have had prion disease. The totalitarian mindset about the origins of prion
diseases betrays an agenda. It's more about global profits for the GM soya
protein empires than about the illusory health risks of animal proteins to
humans.

"NEWS reports that SARS could
turn out to be "worse than Aids" are certainly alarming. Aids has killed tens of
millions worldwide and impoverished much of southern Africa. If we are looking
at a rerun, Sars could indeed be the greatest disaster of the 21st century.
Reassuringly, however, the source of this particular
prediction turns out to be none other than the preposterous Dr Patrick Dixon, a
London-based one-man think-tank and self-proclaimed "expert on future trends"
(his chosen area of expertise during the current crisis). Whenever a scientific
or medical issue with ethical ramifications crops up - such as Aids, cloning or
a new disease - up pops Dixon too, predicting the end of the world or at least
life as we know it.
Sars is not Aids. It is caused by a completely different type
of virus, with a completely different means of transmission. Saying, as Dixon
did last week, that Sars has a "25 percent chance" of developing into an
Aids-style pandemic is meaningless unless Dr Dixon can come up with some sound
epidemiological evidence for this figure.
Dixon is of course entitled to his interesting views; but
when he strays into the dangerous world of facts he is on shaky ground. When the
only-slightly-more-ludicrous Raelians claimed they had cloned a baby at
Christmas, the polymath Dixon, who was then touted as "an expert on the ethics
of cloning", stated, with a straight face, that he had "no reason to doubt" that
a human had been cloned. "2003 will go down in history as the Year of the
Clone," he states, solemnly and almost certainly wrongly."--Private Eye, May 3,

"An "expert" is one who knows more and more about less and less."--Nicholas Murray Butler (In a commencement address, at Columbia University)
"Two years ago it was Roy Anderson who created the
computer model used by the government to claim that the number of foot-and-mouth
cases would fall to zero by 7 June 2001. As the Eye noted at the time, a certain
amount of statistical jiggery-pokery was required to achieve this desirable if
implausible result, but it allowed the Dear Leader to call an election for that
very date and boast that he had the crisis licked.
Back in 1987 Anderson's mathematical talents again proved
useful to a politician's election prospects. He was invited by Norway's prime
minister Gro Harlem Brundtland to help produce an "independent assessment" of
how many minke whales Norwegians could sustainably kill each year. The
International Whaling Commission had introduced a moratorium on commercial minke
whaling, which Brundtland feared would lose her support in the northern whaling
constituencies. She hoped that a report by a four-man committee of experts,
including Anderson, would persuade the IWC to ease the ban.
Lo and behold, the committee came up with exactly the same
figure - 200 whales - which the whalers thought they needed to make a profit.
But then a mathematical biologist on the IWC's scientific committee went through
the algebra and found "fundamental flaws in the methodology": Anderson and his
chums had achieved the result Brundtland wanted only by creating unreal (indeed
"impossible") parameters."---Private Eye, May

All the detractors of ozone claim to be "experts", yet they have had no training in any oxidative modality, and there are no studies using correct accepted protocols to prove ozone doesn't work, so it's a mystery how they get away with substituting uneducated opinion for scientific fact in the newspapers.......To be heard in this society, no matter how much truth you can deliver, you need a huge political machine that has conditioned everyone to automatically listen to it as authority. OZONE HAS CURED AIDS IN OVER 300 CASES--Ed McCabe
"The cholesterol scare is big business for doctors, laboratories, and drug companies. It is also a powerful marketing gimmick for vegetable oil and margarine manufacturers.... In the end , cholesterol will be exonerated from its role as primary villain in cardiovascular disease. The accusing finger points at 'experts' who concocted the cholesterol theory to drum up business by spreading fear."--Udo Erasmus (Fats that Heal Fats that Kill)
A victim of the Spanish "toxic oil syndrome" disaster, interviewed on the admirable Yorkshire Television documentary Poisoned Lives in 1991 expressed her disillusion: When I hear the word 'scientist', it's as if I get an allergic reaction. And the word 'expert', well, I go cold whenever someone says 'an expert says this', I worry that it is not true. It's something that was said in the interests of some economic pressure group. I think science is a fine thing, it's a shame that it can be corrupted like this."[Media Aug 21, 1993] Poisoning the wells of science. Pesticides may be behind many ailments, but the government will not investigate
In a recent vaccine damage case, the lawyer I was working with sent a letter to an American who had done a lot of research into vaccines, asking him if he could give her a list of experts with eminent CVs and status who were held in high esteem. Words to that effect anyway. The reply stated that he could give her a list of "experts" who, until they voiced a contrary opinion, were considered the creme de la creme, but that unfortunately, as soon as they opened their mouths, were no longer acceptable. In other words, acceptable experts are manufactured from the "club of believers" only. Science Friction by Hilary Butler
"You don’t have any other society where the educated classes are so effectively indoctrinated and controlled by a subtle propaganda system – a private system including media, intellectual opinion forming magazines and the participation of the most highly educated sections of the population. Such people ought to be referred to as "Commissars" – for that is what their essential function is – to set up and maintain a system of doctrines and beliefs which will undermine independent thought and prevent a proper understanding and analysis of national and global institutions, issues, and policies". -- Noam Chomsky
"The British Medical Journal ran a very revealing article recently, entitled Selling Sickness. In it, the authors stated:
“Pharmaceutical companies are actively involved in sponsoring the definition of diseases and promoting them to both prescribers and consumers. The social construction of illness is being replaced by the corporate construction of disease. Although some sponsored professionals or consumers may act independently and all concerned may have honourable motives, in many cases the formula is the same: groups and/or campaigns are orchestrated, funded, and facilitated by corporate interests, often via their public relations and marketing infrastructure. A key strategy of the alliances is to target the news media with stories designed to create fears about the condition or disease and draw attention to the latest treatment. Company sponsored advisory boards supply the ‘independent experts’ for these stories, consumer groups provide the ‘victims’ and public relations companies provide media outlets with the positive spin about the latest ‘breakthrough’ medications.” (Ray Moynihan, Iona Heath, David Henry, 'Selling Sickness: the pharmaceutical industry and disease-mongering', British Medical Journal online, BMJ, 13th April 2002 )--Steve Ransom
"I believe it was leonard E Read, founder of FEE (Foundation for Economic Education) who so correctly categorized people such as Mayor Giuliani as "useful idiots." Read describes how "useful idiots" are used by powerful insiders to help contol and use the masses. "Useful idiots" are helped by another classification of dumbells that Read calls "knowitalls". Together, the two groups, "useful idiots" and "knowitalls", serve to enslave freemen and to slowly, but inexorably, bring about the socialist state."--- Dr Daniel H Duffy Sr Geneva, Ohio
"And then the industry started buying up the experts," he contends, citing the example of James Cherry, a widely recognized pertussis expert who has served on both the ACIP and the AAP's vaccine advisory committee."----Congressional Quarterly Researcher
"Several years ago, because of the increasing amount of litigations over DTP, members of the so-called Red Book Committee of the American Academy of Pediatrics agreed in a sense that we would sort of divide up the cases to try to help the manufacturers in these lawsuits, and therefore I and a number of my colleagues agreed to serve as expert witnesses."----CASE No. 82-1232, Cossette Krause, vs F.K. Abbousy, MD et al (State of Ohio), transcipt of videotape deposition of Dr Edward Mortimer September 6, 1984.. On page 11 reads the following:
SARS:
"Once again, we are facing an artificially designed epidemic,
the "Severe Acute Respiratory
Sundrome" ("SARS"). For me, it is obvious that this "epidemic"
is a new scientific scam ......Their
strategy seems to be, once again, the following: 1) stealing the
symptoms of a well-known disease (in this case, flu, the common, or common
pneumia...) ; 2) sticking on it the
label of "a new, unknow, deadly viral disease"; 3) Sending
around the world "special
agents" presented as "experts"; (eg
our very own UK "expert" Dr Anderson
of FMD scam fame, & Dr Dixon--whale comment)
4) Sending in major media like Associated
Press, Agence France Presse, Miami Herald to make
a lot of noise.... ) 5) Spreading panic by announcing
astronomic figures about the number of cases ans/or deaths 6) Announcing
that a test and a
vaccine have been found; 7) Harvesting millions or billions of dollars
while earning incredible power over governments
all over the world."---Henri-Claude
Saint-Fleur TRUTH International, Inc.
"AIDS and SARS are ways for epidemiologists (e.g., the CDC, WHO, etc.) to secure their jobs and continued funding for their agencies. No new emerging epidemics, maybe no CDC, no WHO, so we've got an infrastructure that REQUIRES the "discovery" of new, threatening epidemics. And the media pick a new one every year. This year, it's SARS. For the past couple of years, it's been West Nile Virus. Next year it'll be something else."---- Dr Dan Duffy DC
