Taxol (Paclitaxel) & Docetaxel (Taxotere)
[back] pharma drug list

[Originally, Taxol production processes required the bark of six Yew trees to treat one patient for a year which caused the systematic destruction of 90% of the yew trees in North America and India.  In China's Yunnan Province, once famous for its yew forests, 80 per cent were destroyed within a three year period. At least the British took a few centuries to decimate the European Yews (for longbows). Today, semi-synthetic Taxol is produced from the needles and twigs of the yew.
First they used taxpayers money to get this poison on the market, then gave exclusive rights to
Bristol-Myers Squibb, also to collect yew off government lands. Even when they run and control all of the so called drug Trials they still can't make it cure anyone, only add a few months on survival, but with a nice $11 Billion in sales.
They wouldn't dream of using a herb that herbalists have used for centuries, as it would give the game away about the effectiveness of herbal medicine, and who would make any money out of something you can buy for (comparatively) peanuts at a supermarket or herbal supplier?
See:
Herbs for cancer for well over 15 herbs that they won't touch with a bargepole (a real clue to their mindset and agenda, also see).  No, let's butcher millions of sacred trees, well known for their longevity (5,000 plus years 1 ) over non-toxic herbs designed for the job and poison thousands with a highly toxic brew from a highly poisonous tree.  Just another illustration of the true nature of the Chemotherapy pushers, dealers in death, 2 in one--humans and yews--bonus points from Satan, no doubt.]

A Tale of Taxol By Frank Stephenson Since 1993, Bristol-Myers Squibb has introduced only one cancer drug to the pharmaceutical market—Taxol. As of August 2002, Taxol is still the only taxane product in its line of oncology drugs. When the company's exclusive, five-year right to market Taxol under the CRADA expired in 1997, technically opening the door to generic brands of the drug, the company successfully fought off the introduction of generics until December 2001, a move that added more than $4 billion to lifetime Taxol sales that by last August approached $11 billion.
