New Prototype

This Pioneering Patent represents a New Technology, an  Electromagnetic Motor of unexpected High Efficiency - that also generates a high energy plasma that unexpectedly allows the electromagnetic coils to get cooler as voltage is applied. Furthermore - other unexpected properties are present in and around the resulting plasma. Furthermore, NO laminates & NO inductive or hysteresis heating = greater effective mechanical power.

 

8/8/01: US Patent 6,271,614 issued on 8/7/01 for my Pulsed Plasma Device. In the above picture, to the left is one design showing the referenced the Tesla drive coil, patent # 512,340 with a Neodymium Iron Boron (NIB) magnetic rotor above it (36 MGOe) and held in position by hand made pillow blocks.
To the right is the Pulsed Plasma housing that is connected by a magnetic coupler of my design. This magnetic coupler allows for a complete separation of the plasma source from the driving components The majority of components are nonmagnetic - so as to reduce the likelihood of hysteresis as well as limiting the travel of eddy currents.

   How is a "No" Laminate - cool running motor of Value?

In Current motor designs, low magnetic strength ceramic magnets must be used due to their high curie point and some even require a cooling fan. With my system - the absolute highest strength Neodymium (NIB) magnets will produce 10 times the torque from the same power used by low efficiency motors of the past and the cool running coils insure that the curie point will never be reached,  providing a safe environment for low curie point magnetic materials and an airtight motor housing whereby no fan is required - due to internal electromagnetic cooling. However, the use of laminate steel in combination with NIB magnets can be counter productive, my "NO" Laminate design solves this and many other problems. NOW - More powerful motors can be constructed that will make better use of available power.  This New Technology, Pulsed Electric Motor operates on a series of intermittent pulses using a patented Zero Spark Suppression Commutator which allows the electromagnetic drive coil to either run cool or operate at sub-ambient temperatures. Finally - electromagnetic heating is no longer a problem. Heat that was once factored as mechanical loss has now been converted to direct electromechanical power and increased motor efficiency. My No Laminate design allows for light weight stators which will only increase efficiency.

In a simple test a common photoflash assembly (330 VDC, similar to my system voltage) was connected to a small electromagnetic coil to test the reaction of several magnets to a pulsed electromagnetic field. The small capacitor was charged to capacity each time and discharged into the coil of copper wire - these are the results

5 gram neodymium button magnet : Jumped 7 inches  (56 X the reactive force)
9 gram neodymium disk magnet     : Jumped 12 inches( 96 x the reactive force)
 With the 9 gram NIB being 1.8 times the weight of the ceramic magnet, the adjusted reactive force is now 172.8 times stronger than the ceramic used.

50 gram block neodymium magnet  : Jumped 4 inches (64X the reactive force)

{ The question is, why are Neodymium magnets "NOT" used in ALL current technology electric motors - because when a specific temperature is reached (the curie point) the magnetic material looses most of its magnetic field }

Ceramic magnets (however of high curie point) show almost ZERO reactive force compared to Neodymium magnets within the same electromagnetic field - and within my patent is provided a means for "system negative entropy", the superior Neodymium magnetic material can NOW be safely utilized to produce more mechanical power from very the same power used by old ceramic products with zero losses due to hysteresis or inductive heating.

When 50 - 100 + MGOe Magnets become available, my patent can make use of them even if the curie point is well under 200 degrees F.

The basic operating voltage of the above pictured prototype is 350VDC,  having a full speed - no load draw of .06 amps.  Due to the patented commutator design - applied voltage is strictly limited to pulses and even when a load is applied, the current rises only slightly.
 
This patent teaches that negative system entropy is possible, however as the  explanation cannot currently be found in Electrical Engineering - other areas of science must be explored and the key answers may be located within Particle Physics and Plasma Science.

This device bridges the gap between electric motor function and High Energy Plasma Physics, whereby a completely "New Technology" is made ready for exploration.
