Being a skeptic can ruin a movie feel to heckle me relentlessly for the following sacralige: Can't the space paparazzi use 20th century microphones with no distracting blinking lights? Can't they find a competant replacement for Kirk from the hundreds of explored populated planets? How much did Sulu try to bluff for to get a cameo? Don't Jordy and Data between them have enough common sense to know not to under go a total personality change in the middle of a crisis. Once again the incomplete reconditioned Enterprise is only ship to respond to near emergency. Why did the renegade klingon ship use a WWII periscope to fire torpedos. How fast do Klingons mutate? - now they have non-magenta blood and nonhuman teeth. (hell, they had fancy green blood for the Romulon carelessly left behind) Why have "reverse air bags" to feed back outside explosions to crew members? Why didn't the wise Picard learn not to forfeit the element of surprise before the second obligatory fist fight? How did the million mile rocket probe ride shrink from 8 minutes to 2 seconds? If the evil genius is smart enough to extinquish whole suns, why doesn't he enter the nexus the tried and true way (hit it from a ship). After years of the unseen bridge "sky light" surviving assults - why'd it fail in the presence of a convienent class M planet. After the Borg incident -you'd think Guinin would have spilled her guts about ALL these wandering threats to star fleet. Why are isolated lone scientists able to single handidly create genesis devices, Datas or star extinglishers? They need supervision. Why was Sardons nexus bus stop the same place where Lazerus jumped dimensions? (also place of Fridays child, Arena, the Finnigin fight and every other western) They should hide a couple hand phasers in those rocks. Why did 5 separate parts of the 20th century gangway all loudly simultaneously fail in slow motion. I miss Spock and McCoy participating in the final philosophical lectures. 1. They still haven't learned that ship noise doesnt travel in a vacuum 2. An obvious Mike Dorn was distracting 3. Klingons using British Judicial proceedure "objection/sustained" weird 4. The spraying floating blood effect was very over-used 5. More rip-offs of the Star Wars cabaret scene (lots of new weird humaniods) 6. Ship captains like Sulu are very hesitant to put up sheilds 7. Klingons like all aliens are well versed in 18th century earth writters 8. SFC happens to be HQ'd in same state/planet movie is made (geocentricism) 9. Enterprise sustains about 15 salvos, but one barrage dispatches klingons 10. Exploding klingon moon rocks ship light-years away w/o destroying planet 11. Colonel Sanders shouldn't run the Federation 12. Asteroids have atmospheres? 13. Crew consults BOOKS on klingonese when they have the ultimate computer 14. Food is cooked by hand in pots when they have a replicator 15. Of all the federation ship captains, a klingon hater get the escort job 16. The surrendered Enterprise is not captured or even closely monitored.
