IANS CLOSES ITS OPERATION IN MARCH 1998

This letter was received by Patrick Bailey from the IANS in early May 1998:

International Association for New Science (IANS)
Academy for New Energy (ANE)
Institute for Natural Healing (INH)
P.O. Box 8127
Fort Collins, CO 80526

4/1/98

Dear Friends and Supporters of IANS, ANE, and INH -

IANS has experienced many highs and lows over its 9 year history. in that time, we have produced a dozen major conferences and over t 25 seminars, providing a forum for the presentation of new ideas and theories in the fields of New Energy, Natural Healing, and New Science.

However, despite our repeated efforts, there has been insufficient financial and volunteer support available to sustain this level of activity. We must therefore announce, with great sadness, the closing of lANS, ANE, and INH as of April, l998. Spirit has been guiding us in many of our organizational decisions, including this one, which we are told is in our best interest at this time.

We will not be able to produce a conference this year, as we had intended. Although we will be producing one final newsletter, all of our other services will be discontinued, including the production of future conferences.

IANS has been a catalyst for many new science research projects and affiliations, and has served as an inspiration for us all. We have planted many seeds - it is now time to utilize the knowledge that has been gained and to grow with it.

If you need to communicate about a past order or about any other IANS business, please write to us at the following new address: P.O. Box 8127, Ft. Collins, Colorado, 80126. Our phone and fax lines, websites, and email address will be discontinued shortly.

BackCountry Productions, who has done all of our conference audio and video taping, will fill any future orders for these products. They can be reached at 303-772-8358, or write them at BackCountry Productions, 831 Alpine St., Longmont, Colorado, 80501.

For those of you who have either recently joined our organization or renewed your membership, we apologize for this closure. Our final newsletter will be sent to our members in April, 1998, and the remaining funds will be just enough to allow us to close down gracefully. If you feel you need to have your money refunded, please write to us and we will do our best to grant your wish. If you prefer to turn it into a contribution to an organization that has served for many years as an inspiration to us all, then we gratefully thank you.

It may be possible, at a later date, to pull IANS out of its current state of hibernation, if enough dedicated people appear with sufficient energy and motivation come forward. Perhaps this letter will serve as an inspiration towards that goal. From all of us at IANS/ANE/INH, we wish you well in your endeavors and hope that we have helped to light the path for your future journeys.

Sincerely,

Maury Albertson, Ph.D.

We include their March 28, 1998, email to us, below, followed by the original flyers and information on the IANS.

Hopefully, these worthwhile organization can be resurrected soon and its full operations again resumed in the near future!

As the Academy for New Energy, the ANE, was part of the IANS, the ANE has also ceased its operation until further notice.

Hopefully, these worthwhile organization can be resurrected soon and its full operations again resumed in the near future!

Original IANS Flyer and Information (Nov. 1995)

For Professionals and Lay People

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The International Association For New Science (IANS) is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to promote a new science that will help the evolvement of mankind in a manner that will complement and preserve the natural order of the universe. The goal is to unite individuals of a New Science philosophy and initiate a paradigm shift in science and health care. The IANS provides a worldwide network of New Science happenings through conferences and publications, and provides research in the area of New Science.

PHILOSOPHY

The IANS believes that man should be using science for unselfish purposes with special regard for the welfare of humanity and the planet Earth. We believe there is an interconnectedness among all things and the IANS will promote a science whose main consideration is the welfare of the whole. Many areas of the New Science disciplines cannot be explained by traditional science, and the IANS believes that quantum physics principles may help provide answers.

MEMBERSHIP

The IANS is a contributor membership organization that works to fulfill the needs of all its interested members. Support comes largely through tax deductible contributions from contributors such as yourself. As a contributing member, you will receive the quarterly New Science News and information regarding all IANS sponsored conferences and activities, including member contributor conference discounts.

NEW SCIENCE DISCIPLINES

NEW MEDICINE - Includes acupuncture, homeopathy, therapeutic touch, biofeedback, herbology, color therapy, electromagnetic healing, subtle energy, applied kinesiology, nutrition, vibrational medicine, iridology, environmental health, natural healing modalities and the interrelationship of mind, body, emotion and spirit.

NEW PSYCHOLOGY - Includes stress, dreams, altered states of consciousness, nutritional psychology, past lives, reincarnation, spirit possession, astrology, numerology and mental effects from environmental toxins.

NEW ENERGY - Includes alternative energy, radionics, crystal energy, psychokinesis, dowsing and auras.

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES - Includes areas of science dedicated to creating and preserving a clean and healthful environment.

NEW AGRICULTURE - Includes areas of natural and organic agriculture.

NONPHYSICAL SCIENCES - Includes near-death experiences, out-of-body experiences, intuition, ghosts, UFOs, extraterrestrials, crop circles, possessing spirits, channeling, psychometry, clairvoyance, mysticism and spiritual realm.

NEW BIOLOGY - Includes morphogenetic fields, polymorphous micro-organisms and psychoneuroimmunology.

NEW PHYSICS - Includes quantum physics and its implications with consciousness, dimensions beyond time and space, holograms and mind/matter interaction.

NEW SCIENCE - Includes the interrelationship of the forgoing disciplines and developing a new paradigm of science.

The Lay Person

To initiate a paradigm shift in science and health care, the lay people will play an important role. It is the collective consciousness of lay people and the new scientists together that will cause the shift. Lay people will work with the new scientists by conveying their needs and ideas.

The New Scientist

The new scientist is a person with an open mind and holistic philosophy who believes there is an interrelationship of body, mind, emotions, spirit and the physical universe. With this philosophy, the new scientist puts the welfare of humanity and the environment before personal gain, and discourages research that can contribute to war and be harmful to the planet and its inhabitants. The new scientist strives for natural healing modalities.

A New Paradigm

The IANS recognizes that many scientists within traditional disciplines may have difficulty accepting the reality of the anomalous phenomena listed. It is unsatisfactory to continue to "explain away" these phenomena because they do not fit within a world view that is open to the possibility of their reality. Science cannot be considered complete as long as they are excluded, because they seem to recur in all ages, world-wide, and believed by many people and scientists to be of utmost importance. Hence, the need for a "New Science" and a new paradigm.
