Park has a been a Prof. of Physics at UMCP (Univ. of Md. in College Park) for 
decades. He has never claimed any connection with MIT.  His Ph.D. is from Brown.

For past decade or so, he has been nominally at UMCP but spends most of his time 
at a Press Office in some Press building "on loan" from UMCP to the AIP 
(American Inst. of Physics), the publishing branch of APS.
