ZINC, PHOTOELECTRIC EFFECT

Text: In 1887 Heinrich Hertz was engaged in his famous experiments in connection with radio-electric waves. Quite by chance, he noted that if a piece of zinc were illuminated with ultra-violet light, it became electrically charged.
