Here is another 4x6 copy of an original photo from my well known collection showing the famous general and Mexican hero General Zapata. This was one of the few times that he was photographed dressed as well as here. I do have one other in which he is dressed quite nicely. I believe that this picture was taken about 1915.

This photo was taken during or just after the Mexican Revolution. General Zapata is shown wearing his traditional sombero.

General Zapata led the forces in the south while General Pancho Villa led the northern armies. General Villa was loved and hated by the people but there is no doubt of his place in history. General Zapata was loved by almost all the people of Mexico.
