General Zapata well dressed
Here is another 4x6 copy of an original photo from my well known collection showing the famous general and Mexican hero General Zapata.
This was one of the few times that the he was photographed in such an elegant style of dress. Notice his pegged pants at boot level. General Zapata was apparently a snappy dresser as well as a great fighter. I believe that this picture was taken about 1915.
These photos were taken during and just after the Mexican Revolution. Zapata is wearing his traditional sombero. General Zapata led the forces in the south while General Pancho Villa led the northern armies.
General Villa was loved and hated by the people but there is no doubt of his place in history. General Zapata was loved by almost all the people of Mexico. This is one of my favorites.
I have a rather extensive collection of photos from the Mexican Revolution.
The cost of the photo is $4.00 US (each) and please include $1.00 US shipping for the USA and $2.00 US for all other areas of the world. You may use payPal, Paytrust or ebay, using mexicojerry or jdraug. Please allow three weeks for delivery as the Mexican mail system is very slow.
