I've spoken with several people who bought and tested the Spiralmax device,
every one of them said it did not work as claimed. JC Whitney sells a
similar device called a Tornado, I've heard that provides some improvement
over stock. Certainly not 10-20hp as advertised by spiralmax however.
I've read a bit about Shauberger's (sp?) experiments with vortex tubes, and
I understand how something like this could work very well.. I've also seen
exhaust tips that have angled fins to create a vortex, that might work not
too bad. I'm likely going to buy a Tornado from JC Whitney (cheaper than
spiralmax anyway, if I remember correctly) and I'd be very interested in
building a water injection system as detailed in one of the Eagle Research
books.
