Setting sights lower

Hi Jerry & All

I often read the List as a pick me up looking at all the weird and wonderful
ideas from around the world in the hope that one might ignite my brain into
inspiration "which was once a common thing".
Most of the people on the List seem to be after the same thing, to invent
something completely fantastic and world changing, but as we all know this
is proving a difficult thing to accomplish.
Now like I suspect a lot of other people as time goes on I have found that
my creativity has been slowly dwindling and come to an almost complete stop
most inpart to the fact that I have been setting my goals to high looking
for the so called BIG ONE !!!

UNTIL one day a few weeks ago my Sister was telling me about something she
was doing and how it would be so much quicker if someone would invent a
device to make it easier to do a certain part of the job, ( You will have to
excuse the vagueness as I am in the process of filing a patent application).
Now compared to the normal sort of things I try to come up with this thing
was a piece of cake, So simple that I find it hard to believe I have never
thought of it before as it is done daily, and the irony is that it looks
from preliminary investigations to be one of my most profitable inventions
to date.
Now since I have come up with this simple invention the SPARK has ignited my
brain and now the ideas are coming in fast and furious again.

WHAT HAS THIS GOT TO DO WITH THE REST OF US, I HERE YOU CRY !!!

Well what I am getting at is that if we lower our sights a little we can
still come up with very useful and Profitable things and the more we do this
the more chance there is that we can afford to finance our more ambitious
projects which as we all know have not been fruitful yet mainly for the
reason that none of us can afford to put the money in to do the thing
properly.

Thanks for your time, but if I am talking rubbish I apologize.
