It's days like this that make me estatic that I run Linux.
It's basically a _lot_ harder for someone to pull this
sort of BS for a properly ran Linux box. Not impossible-
you could have a trojan horse/worm do something like this,
but it would be limited in the amount of damage that it
could do to a machine because of security services in
the OS.
Linux is not for everyone (well, not yet anyhow...) but if
you're willing to put in some effort in learning something
new, I think you'll be pleased with the results.
