Bill, while your idea may produce some interesting phenomenae, it will never
do more than the Ouija board. Direct transfer of knowledge between people
happens very often with just a glance. It is a limited exchange, however.
Even if the minds were just the result of chemical and magnetic reactions,
and not of something else, the translation between two parallel processing
and high speed minds, and different data banks, through the slow serial
processing of speech and mechanical interface would be far from
enlightening. Even using the conscious mind and choosing words carefully,
humans are very bad at communicating exactly what they know. Your dentist
already uses drugs that will strip away the consciousness you are reading
this with. If you want to probe the depths of the so-called subconscious
mind, that is more efficient, but don't expect any startling revelations.
You are on the wrong side of a mirror.

The fingers, hands, and the entire body are sensors first, mechanical
extensions of the brain second. Studying brain waves and Kirlian fields
will likely prove more productive in looking for those unseen links between
entities.

The conscious and so-called subconscious are not all there is to human
beings. There is another consciousness that you will become aware of only
under the most extreme of circumstances. It will watch the conscious
evaporate, and then the other.

Ren is a very wise man. He posted some excellent advice that those wanting
to explore in non-physical ways should heed, but probably won't They might
come back, but they won't be the same, and will never recover their previous
place in life. We are best served by identifying ourselves through studying
our environment and construction through material means until we have a
clearer picture of just what we are. In the meantime, enjoy the search for
knowledge, enjoy the passions of living.

Hi Everyone!
I am sure, based on the scope of the range of interest in the group,
that some of the people here have heard of the theory on Ouija boards,
automatic writing, tea bag "divining", which states that the info comes from
subconscious control of muscles in the hands and arms.
My idea is this: Rig a glove like the old Nintendo Power Glove so that
it monitors either the muscle tension in each finger, or the position of the
fingers themselves. It would somehow convert this into digital data, which
would then be fed into a digital speech synthesizer which would use the info
from the glove for freq and volume info.
If your subconscious mind IS in fact the source of the information, it
would "adapt" to the input requirements of the speech box by adjusting the
finger/muscle position, and eventually produce audible speech patterns from
a speaker. It would then be possible to tell if a person was lying, or to
glean info from the dpeths of the mind. And if this idea worked, why
couldn't you separate two people (each with a glove), and hook each person's
speech box to the other person's glove? This would possibly cause both
people's subconscious minds to "sync" to each other, which could lead to
near-direct transfer of information from one person to another.
Does this sound plausible?
