I originally tried Georges circuit using all kinds of antennae including
some weird ones like a pyramid. I agree its neat. But there has to be
something to the basic idea of utilizing a tuned circuit and some naturally
occuring external source. People have said try the Schumann resonance but of
course any resonant circuit for that would be impractical. One keeps hearing
stories of people using huge coils as part of a circuit to power their
houses, some supposedly in combination with antennae, maybe this is what
they are doing. Unfortunately the stories are always sketchy from a spouse
or neighbour with no electronics experience, why none of these people can
live next to an engineer beats me :-)
Maybe that mention of a reversed Tesla coil is worth looking at. If the
thing was designed to broadcast energy maybe it can receive if done
correctly. I'll have to think about that.
