I had hear of this concept for sometime - ie use a laser to ionize the =
air to the target and then send a burst of energy/plasma down that line =
to the target.=20
Using a conventional laser with a ion emitter should be able to prove =
or at least make a simple version of this. I probably could wip something =
up in a week if I could figure out how to expand the laser beam from a =
pencil point to something like a quarter. Using a Neon transformer with a =
point for the output and maybe a stick in the ground for the other lead =
then maybe we could knock out some one. ANy one care to be the Test =
subject ? I prefer a animal rights supporter for my test subject, they of =
course would be more willing to be harmed then a poor little animal.
If you take a look at Tesla's Wardencliffe work you will notice that =
he was going to use Ultraviolet lights to help project his energy from the =
tower. So this is not a new ideal. Just the size and poer densities.
Tesla did research on masers/lasers and his rumored particle beam weapon =
was probably a outcrop of this line of work. Oh and don't forget which =
country was the only one willing to buy his device, Russia. The United =
States of America didn't want such technology and merry old England was =
the same way. So we wonder why America falls behind and always plays =
catchup?
