Below is something I posted on another list, a response and my reply.
Even if you do not have an interest in Tesla's potential involvement in
Tunguska, it is worth watching.
Be Well, David

Two nights ago, The Discovery Channel aired a program about
Tunguska titled "The Great Siberian Explosion" and I managed to see the
last 75% of it.
There was no mention of Tesla, but then when they only invite asteroid
experts and meteorite experts to investigate, they only get
results relative to asteroids and meteorites.
I checked into near-future airings and the next listed for the 14 day
period is on Saturday 05/15/99 at 6 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time.
Check it out!

Yeah Bill, I knoooooooooooooow................................
They figured out that there was no impact and that the "explosion"
occurred above the site.
It is curious that a small cluster of trees more or less in the middle
of the destruction zone were left standing straight up while all the rest
of the trees in the 25 mile (I think) radius were flat out flat and
pointed away from where the standing trees were.
I also find it curious that the zone was not circular but "butterfly"
shaped.
The Russian scientist who made the "breakthrough" made a model
with little sticks to represent trees and caused explosions of different
intensities, different heights and different angles to have different
affects on the sticks.
As I recall, he got the butterfly, the small group of standing trees, etc.
at an angle of 30 degrees and correlated that with actual "things"
in space near enough to earth at the time to cause the occurrence.
They ruled out various types of asteroidal and meteorital (did I just
invent a new word?) material because most would either burn up long
before they got very close to the earth or would not burn much mass and
thoroughly crash. Instead, whatever "material" the object
was made of managed to get its incredible mass through the atmosphere and
explode just several thousand feet from the surface.
The next time I see the program, I am going to pay much closer attention
to the direction relative to the earth........... and where Tesla's
laboratory was at the time...............
