Hi Bill,
I only drink filtered water now, but I see your point about showers..
Sounds like the best solution to that is to filter all water coming
into your house, and if you're really concerned, replace all your
water pipes with new ones.. that'd be more practical for someone who
is building a new house tho, cause I don't really know anyone who would
be willing to rip all of the plumbing out of their house.. I know my
parents would never do that.. heh..
Assuming you put a filter on the main water source for your house,
and attached magnets (sorry I don't have a URL.. anyone know of one for
this product?) to get rid of suspended particles and stop "hard water",
would copper pipes still be good enough? I've heard PVC pipes aren't
too great, but as far as I know they're usually used for drains, and
at least in my house, copper pipes are used for all the rest of the
plumbing.. except for one big black metal pipe in the basement.. not
sure what that's made of..
basically, if you're already filtering your water at the source, what
is the best material to make pipes out of, so no more contaminants will
be added to the water from the pipes?
ttyl
