The ToothBrush Theory

Hello all and welcome to your weekly "dumbing down" session.

I just had an interesting thought about the humble Toothbrush and how
unhygienic the little blighter can easily become. I mean, if stored in the
steamy depths of the average bathroom it can be susceptible to the following
conditions:

Mould growth
Fly deposits (has been known to happen in uncovered toothbrush racks)
and numerous other disgusting conditions.

Now, if you do not thoroughly heat your brush at 2000 degrees C before
placing it in your mouth, these things are going to get into you gob.
Normally the only time mould is consumed is on the back of a piece of blue
cheese (tastes disgusting IMHO), but the humble tooth brush would pop up as
number 2 on the mould list (no scientific basis to this assumption). If you
are suffering from a condition that has no rational explanation, then you
may wish to entertain this little theory and leave the brush under the hot
tap for a while before brushing your teeth.

This has been a public dis-service announcement.

Matthew.
