Thanks for the excellent info on the DePalma and Faraday homopolar
motors. The guy you are mentioning is Paramahansa Tawari, totally cool
fellow...last time we talked with him he said he'd figured out how to
produce AC from his 1.5 volt, 1500amp DC generator that uses that
spinning magnetic drum that you talked about. Of course once it is AC
it can easily be stepped up using transformers.
That was about 4 years ago and I've heard nothing else...when we get to
India we'll definitely check in on him...I believe he lives in Bombay
which is our planned launch point in search of the levitating boulders
of Shivapur.
