I have heard the Mother Earth story before but can't find the article
listed in any reference. Do you have it? Used to read Mother Earth for many
years and remember the original story in Popular Science but don't believe
I ever saw the one you refer to. I hold a refrigeration contractors license
and this looks like a no brainer. Was not planing to buy fuel. Painting the
outer half of the torus white and the inner half flat black will run it
slowly in the sun. Stainless steel concentrators will help. In the winter
here it will run most of the time by running it through the abundant well
water at 59 degrees. The worst problem so far is converting 1 RPM to 1140
to run the generator. Comments are most welcome!
