this type of study is called Gematria, and is very,very,old. Hebrew and
aramaic are the same as greek in that letters are numbers. hebrew
scholars have studied in this manner-the old testament and the hebrew
books for hundreds of years. this is part of the teachings of the
Caballah and torah. there should be hundreds of books on this subject,
but not many in english and not a whole lot on the new testament. I
remember the book you are talking about, but not the title. there was
just ANOTHER book published on this subject that the skeptic society
took apart rather well, I thought.
to find books on this subject, a trip to the local new
age/meditation/strange and wierd bookstore would come in handy. usually
they are in a section of their own. a knowledgeable clerk could help
you find the specific one you need.
