Obviously I need to set everyone straight on this recent post regarding =
the proposed possibility that David Dennard's "Whirlpower Theory" is =
somehow connected with mine. First of all, a reminder... our theories =
and concepts have never been published publicly by us or anyone else. =
While the Whirlpower technology may possibly be based on what many may =
consider sound concepts, it is not even remotely similar to our concepts =
other than the fact that vortex action is involved. That is where the =
similarity ends. I have visited Mr. Dennard's web site in the past so I =
was somewhat familiar with his theory. However, at the time I did not =
research it in depth since all I was interested in was if his concepts =
where possibly based on the same physics as my concepts. Once I was =
able to determine that they were NOT, I ended my evaluation of it.
Due to the recent post, I revisited the "Whirlpower" site and the second =
site based in Sweden and there are several facts mentioned in Dennard's =
site that I wanted to emphasize here which I believe to be important =
before anyone makes any determination that Mr. Dennard's theory is valid =
or that is similar to mine.
David Dennard quote's:
Dennard: "Vortex "wobble" drags surrounding fluid, power to be tapped =
from the movement in surrounding fluid."
ZPE's comment: This "dragging" effect is nothing more than energy being =
transferred directly from the spin of the vortex through normal =
viscosity. Most of the energy is wasted as normal viscosity dissipates =
it resulting in an increase of entropy (energy degradation). There's no =
possibility of an o/u effect strictly from this "drag" principle. Also, =
presence (or absence) of a "wobble" has no bearing on the presence of =
"drag".
Dennard: (the source of energy) "originates from the gravitational
forces on the center rotating structure"
ZPE's comment: Any person with even the most basic education in physics =
knows that gravity is not energy.
Dennard: "The belief is that the energy needed to pump up the fluid or =
gas is less than the rotation energy that is being stored in the =
surrounding fluid or gas."
ZPE's comment: Belief? OK. Based on what theory... that gravity is =
energy? Come on!
Dennard: "If gravity is not considered of a possible form of energy,
Whirlpower is impossible"
ZPE's comment: Exactly!
Dennard: "I am not in the scientific community and have no credentials =
in this area. My approach to this is dream inspired."
ZPE's comment: Well, in that case, everyone should invest! Right?
Dennard: "This is the Whirlpower Theory. It is not mathmatical in basis =
but conceptual."
ZPE's comment: Our work is built upon both very solid conceptual AND =
mathematical foundations, which bear no resemblance to the theories of =
Dennard, Schauberger, Clem or anyone else with similar concepts.
Dennard: "but once in motion the Big Wheel will supply all the needed =
power from the force of gravity. Whirlpower harnesses the force of =
gravity."
ZPE's comment: Again... any person with even the most basic education =
in physics knows that gravity is not energy. So where's the logical =
theory, much less the math to support such a belief?
Dennard: "The energy is in the wiggle, which comes from the force of =
gravity acting upon the vortex."
ZPE's comment: They say there may be energy that can be tapped from the =
"jiggle" of a bowl of jello... Isn't there?
Dennard: "...in the presence of corroborating evidence, albeit
circumstantial and synchronistic, and in the absence of disproof; I
present the Whirlpower Declaration"
ZPE's comment: What corroborating evidence? There's none that I can =
find on his web pages. Absence of disproof?!! If that had any value =
then I propose that reality is actually just a big complex virtual 3-D =
video game that we're all stuck in.
Dennard: "If proven, the power of the big wheel will be greater than the =
power needed to drive the pumps. This power comes from the force of =
gravity acting on the spinning vortex creating the precession of the =
vortex and the resultant frame dragging of the whirlwind.
ZPE's comment: I don't know about you (the reader) but I see this =
statement as a discredit unto itself. No comment needed.
Dutch physicist Edward Maesen quotes:
Maesen: "...my intuitive side would jump in..."
ZPE's comment: That certainly makes it credible... doesn't it?
Maesen: "My scientific mind can not grasp yet why the Whirlpower would
work, but my intuitive mind tells me that it will work. Although I am a
physicist, I do not have the necessary background in thermodynamics and
fluid behavior"
ZPE's comment: Well, I guess that means his support adds NO credibility =
to Dennard's theory. Darn!

I apologize for the sarcasm but I'm afraid Dennard's lack of education =
is very evident. No offense to his innovative spirit and enthusiasm, =
though. My only purpose in this "evaluation" is to encourage everyone =
in the knowledge that Mr. Dennard and I bear little in common and my =
work suffers NONE of the weaknesses that exist in Dennard's theories. =
I'm certainly pleased that I had the opportunity to distinguish =
(separate( my work from his, otherwise, there may have existed some =
undue doubts as to the viability of my work due to Dennard's theories.
If anyone still has questions regarding this issue, PLEASE e-mail me =
(zpe@pdq.net). Thanks!

Best Wishes,
ZPE
