Preventing Heart Attacks

Hi Folks1

I was recently told by three friends that ingestion of magnesium will
stop a heart attack cold. That this is well known in Europe and that
people with heart conditions routinely keep magnesium pills near to stop
heart attacks when they occur. The claim is heart attacks in Europe are
much less common than in the United States. Does anyone know if this is
so?

The claim is that the same thing that causes a charlie horse or muscle
cramp, when it occurs in the heart can be almost immediately stopped by
taking magnesium tablets.

I found this quite interesting, now I don't have a heart condition, and
perhaps this information is well known, but I'd not heard of it before
and thought it might be useful in line with other comments about blood
thinners and plaque dissolvers to reduce the strain on the heart from
'thick' blood (fibrin related as it were), as well as the CoQ10 enzyme
which is claimed to repair heart damage.

I think it was Steve who said he'd had heart problems at such a young
age. Again, no medical claims or prescriptions here, just things that
were shared and meant to be passed along, just doing my job..<g>..
