Sounds a bit clumsy....
If you reply to all, then the sender gets two copies of the reply.
It would be better the other way around.
Reply to author would send to the list, while
reply to all would send to both.
(And if you need to make it private, then just
delete the mailing list email when pressing
reply to all...)
