another interesting anicdote from my neighbour (HAM radio guy) who said he
always got a lot of interferrence using verticle CB aerials, even to the
point of getting 1" sparks jumping from the socket to the case during
thunderstorms that may have been active miles from his radio system.

Hmm, these aerials are nothing more than "vertical helixes" of copper,
encased in a bamboo protective coating.

I wonder what would happen if it was resonated at one of the aether
frequencies I am looking for?
