The file that Chuck talked about that created so much mischief is
located at;
http://www.keelynet.com/ecology/cloudbst.htm
We were threatened and blustered by and his supporters to remove the
article and again expressed our concerns that cloudbusting was not
something that should be randomly tinkered with let alone taught so any
redneck could jerk the weather to his/her current needs, with no regard
for the much wider ramifications of their 'apparently local' effects.
This point was and is continually missed by the Demeo bunch and some of
us think a few of very odd weather patterns we see today might be the
children of such irresponsible promotions of weather engineering for the
sake of money and fame.
Both Chuck and I have talked with Joel on many occasions and even met
him, no doubt he is a bit bent and he well knows how he is perceived and
protrayed, but his concerns are still valid about misuse of weather
engineering that can wreak all kinds of havoc and not be traced. So, as
Chuck said, our version of the file has been edited to minimize the
personal attacks against Demeo yet still retain the essence of concern
and warning for what such irresponsible actions can cause with regional
and yes, even some global weather patterns. If you pull, you must suck
from somewhere else, so others could well suffer from your uncoordinated
efforts.
